Blog #6 First page to my narrative: Hi, im Kendra .. and this is where you're going to learn about why i believe that love is so weird and twisted and ... well beautiful. It all started when my dad convinced my mom to take the new job position they had offered her. At first she turned it down because it was a huge step moving from Maine all the way to Arizona. But as the days went by, she was opened to the possibility. Mom was a surgeon, one of the best in maine, but the hospital she worked at burnt down and it would take a while before it was reconstructed. Since she was one of the best, a doctor all the way in Arizona heard of her and emailed her about a once in a lifetime position. This doctor wanted to offer mom and the family a whole life over there, i mean a new house, new cars, new lifestyle .. EVERYTHING. Dad was all for it, so was my brother Johnny, and me? well i didn't really care. I had no one here in maine to miss, no friends, no job, no boyfriend,...

Blog #3 Graphic Novel : Diary Of A Wimpy Kid- THE MELTDOWN Summary Of Plot : In this book, the plot has a resemblance of whats going on with our lives right now. In the town where Greg, our main character, lives there is a great snow storm.... causing his school to close down for a few weeks. This caused all the kids from "surrey street" (where all the kids live) to have a "fight". The fight escalated because they are all from different parts of the street and basically each side was trying to prove who's better. The fight was a snow brawl! Greg and his best friend Rowley built an igloo to stay away from the fight because he knew they were out to get them both from an issue that happen while school was going on. What Makes This A Graphic Novel?: This book is a Graphic Novel because it has more complex fiction work/stories then a comic strip format. Its stories are mixed in with illustrations that add the graphic part to it. What Elements Are Present...

Blog #2 What is a graphic novel? I think a graphic novel is a story that’s told through graphical pictures/drawings. Its only words are captions or small details. Actual definition-         Graphic novel:  a novel in comic-strip format. ^^ well I wasn’t ENTIRELY wrong, comic strip format. Mostly made up of illustrations.  Do I know of any? Yes but just one. Do you have a favorite? Not really but it would probably be captain underpants ^ Is there a specific character that stuck out to you? Yes, captain underpants because he has 2 sides to him. What about the story drew you in? I really liked the graphics, it’s so colorful and catches my eyes and it looked funny too. Can you talk about the art style? So the graphics are more unrealistic, they are made up of fictional characters as well as nonfictional looking characters.  How are graphic novels different from other genres? It’s different because it can be all genres all in one not like...

Blog #1 Hey guys! Hola a todos! My name is Kisha Salazar, as most of you already know. Born on November in Costa Rica, I am 18 years old, and i really enjoy adventure. I am a middle child, unfortunately so you know how that goes (if you don't oh well). If i'm being honest, i never really seen myself as an author. Creative Writing has definitely taught me that we all have an author inside of us.    If i had to describe the type of author i am i would definitely say i am an author that is inspired by emotion. I guess that can be bad sometimes but its my best form of inspiration. When i feel a certain way i tend to spill my self on my notes or on paper. Depending on my emotions i could go into depth with my poems and short stories. My emotions aren't only negative, they're a mix. But i tend to write my best when i feel sorrowful. This creative writing class has been my first ever. I was never the type to express on paper or write anything in general. I can defini...
